Hello fellow collectors,
I think it's my sad duty to warn you - beware of an English guy who called himself Aaron. He rips off handcuffs collectors - at least he ripped of me.
He started his fraud here in the forum (see link to message below) some weeks ago, writing that he has several interesting British restraints for trade. So I offered him vintage German handcuffs. He also provided me with interesting background information concerning his cuffs and did not exaggerate in his descriptions. And he did not want to trade swing through GDR for Hiatt 1960 - another thing which made him appear more honest. So I had a good feeling concerning that guy, thinking that I can trust him... bad mistake :-(.
Finally we decided to trade non swing through GDR and Polizei padlocking handcuffs for Hiatt long chain darbies and Hiatt Speedcuffs. I sent my package at once and he told me that he did the same. But his package never arrived. He also wrote that he would send me a message as soon as he got my package - he never did. I sent him an e-mail, but his e-mail-address JetSetKidUK@aol.com ceased to exist. I also tried to contact him via this Forum. So more than 10 days ago I wrote a letter to him telling him that I will warn all other collectors I know, if he would not contact me in 10 days - he did not reply.
So here is his whole name and address:
================
A. W. Bougourd
1 Flinthill Bank
Dipton,Stanley
Co. Durham
DH9 9JD
England
================
I'm not sure if his name really is Aaron bit his initials are "A.W." - so maybe the next time he'll call himself Arthur, Albert, William etc. I repeat, my dear fellow collectors, do not make the same mistake that I did - do NOT trust this guy !!!
Regards,
