Sorry folks for delays in replying to people but my PC has been out of action or connecting very eratically. Think I have sorted it out now. Ref Parker handcuffs. Items that are stamped Parker Holborn date from 1796 to 1841. Items marked Parker, Field & Sons (sometimes only Field) date from 1842 to 1877. Items marked Field & Sons 59 Leman Street or 122 Leman Street date from 1877 to 1883. It is my belief that Parker /Fields acted as London agents for Hiatt and I am sure they were not manufacturers. Hope this helps.
