I can't tell from your picture of the key what the size is, but the identical "BiMetallic" fits my Solid Key American Munitions cuff and Legirons.
The original key is the same size, but made slightly different.

: thank you for the answer. That's strange - I have such an old, solid key Legiron by American Munitions, Chicago (without key) in my collection (see picture, bottom version) and the key does not fit - the key bit is so large and thick.
