Hi,

I am the seller of the Chubb Escorts offered for sale on this forum who Steve Santini is saying to avoid. I would not have replied to his diaribe but seeing as he has started on a crusade to defame more than myself I felt it necessary to give myside of the story. I too listed a pair of Chubbs on ebay. This was one of several pairs I accquired from a curiosity shop in Sommerset. Mr. Santini also contacted me and tried to get me to end my auction early; offering me $200-00 when they ahd already reached £200-00. Naturally I declined and the auction ended. I then offered hiim one of my other pairs for which he sent cash and there was no problem. He then offered to buy 2 further sets for which he sent a money order. I posted the cuffs out in seperate packages but he staes he never eceived them. He has continued to say I have ripped him off and I am dishonest. Firstly if I was going to rip him off I would have done it when he paid cash as opposed to a money order. secondly he asked me to right on his packages "Gift Value $15-00". I can only assume that this was for Customs & Excise purpose, for which I ask the question who is being dishonest. Furthermore for such important and collectable items why did he not ask for insured postage which I would have paid. I will leave it to he rest of you to make your minds up. If you are interested in the Chubbs contact me and i can assure of a friendly and reliable transaction without the diatribe that Mr. Santini spouts.

Dave
