Hello Ron,
I can say for a fact that these were a very poorly designed handcuffs, as my Dept. ordered several pair to test against the Peerless hinge cuffs. The hinge would break , I saw it happen twice, once in testing and once when a 240 lb. cokehead placed the cuffs , that were in front of him , over the door of a cell and drop his weight all at once. The pins that held the hinge together looked like powdered pot metal. This probably was uncommon, but we did not opt to carry this cuff. I still have 3 pairs, 2 nickle and a blued pair, and consider them a good idea gone bad. On another note, I need a key for a pair of Smith model 94s, N series, cheap. Anybody got one ?

Recently I bought a pair of hinged Smith Wesson model 200. They were marketed in 1990 but discontinued within a year. Could anyone tell me why they were discontinued so fast? What's their value? And are they rare? Thanks for any info.
