I was hoping I could impose on your various expertise to acquire some background information on the Gill "Flash Action Manacle".
I have just acquired a set, but have limited knowledge of their history except that they are circa 1930's. I also have noted that Mr. Lauher
has listed both a Gill handcuff and a Flash Action Manacle on this web site. What is the difference? The set I have are definitely
"Flash Action Manacles" as it is inscribed on the cuff with a patent number of 17?6890. Thank you in advance for any assistance you
could provide me in this matter.
