I guess you're right. But the "problem" is that there are many (new?) collectors (or wannabe-collectors) who seem to be ignorant _and_ wealthy! Just take a look at some "T.H. Porter Tag Slave Handcuffs" or "Yuma Prison Shackles" *shiver*. They buy everything that looks old paying at much to high prices. That rises the overall price-level for vintage handcuffs, of course. So I'll do what I've done in the past - waiting for some good buys. Patience is a virtue and the hunt is better than the catch ;-).
