Can anyone identify the unknown handcuff pictured
at the top of this forum page? It has a primitive
push button lock which has a very strong spring,
which requires some strength to open.
The lock is covered with a brass plate which shows
an eagle and the patent dates Jan 18 and Nov 28 1870.
If you know anything about this unusual handcuff,
please reply. Guesses and speculation are fine too.
