I have a few of the Indian darbies. I've noticed that the keys have numbers on them. I got tricked a couple of weeks ago on ebay. I saw a pair of nickle plated darbies. I knew that all the Indian's were steel so I bought a pair to see what they were. Sure enough nickel plated Indian junk. I think someone is plating them after the fact and is not even smoothing them very well. My advice would be to ID them first and assume that all darbies are Indian, untill proven otherwise. There are just so many of them,
