Hello,
Watching a 1967 movie on a roadside jail I spotted the
use of shackles which use rings both around the ankle
and immediately below the knee.
I understand from other photos that the two rings on
one leg are rigidly connected as to avoid the rings
twisting around. But as I did not spot a detailed view
I was unable to see how this things do lock.
How are these things called?
Is there information on these on the web?
(I have not yet seen such on various web sites)
As they seem to be intended for quite permanent wear,
are they actually locked on or maybe riveted on?
