I recently bought a pair of cuffs at auction in GA- know NOTHING about them, about cuffs in general, and am trying to identify- by looking at hte craftsmanship, I would assume them to be mid-1800s or so. Appear to be hand forged, as there are some minor inconsistancies in the thickness of metal, etc. They are "S" shaped wrought iron, with a hinged bar in the center that tightens on both sides- key mechanism on the front of the cuffs on one end- has no key but are VERY interesting.
