I have a pair of Hiatt Darbies that would have been common in the period that you are talking about. They are a modern reproduction, in perfect shape and very shiny. They would be very visable to the audience.
I also have authentic cuffs that are that old, but would be more reluctant to part with them. I also have some old looking rusty darby type cuffs and legirons that might be interesting to you.
