Dear Ron, my reproduction may be spotted as the cap with keyhole is silver soldered to the lock,( before plating) Many originals I have seen have the cap riveted on. Hamburg eights were made in steel and brass and have both retangular and fluted keyways. Also there are different weights of the frame and the quality, I have two originals, one near mint mechanically and in the way it has been machined, the other looks crude. A 1960 catalogue shows the fluted model which is the later version. Recently one of my reproductions sold for more than an original, this is probably because those who have them don't part with them and has increased demand.
