In respnse to an earlier listing about McKenzie Mitts, I decided to try to find out just how many McKenzie Mitts are known. I emailed or called all collectors known to me that might have a pair. Some of these collectors told me where other known pair of Mitts are. Of course there could still be some in private collections or in someones basement. I came up with 20 pair (15 in black finish and 5 in Nickle finish). Condition varies from "a bucket of rust" to "mint". Most are in good or better condition. Only a few have belly chains with them. This is twice the number I thought were in collections before my survey. None of the Mitts are outside the U.S. If anyone doesn't think they were included, email me at handcuffs@isoc.net and I will list an update here. According to Mark cannon, there is a pair at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA, and another at the Califonia Highway Patrol Academy in Sacremento, CA. These are included in my totals.
