: : If you really have a Marlin Model 1 and not the more
: : common Model 2, then it is worth quite a bit.
: : Perhaps $350 or more depending upon condition.

: : The primary difference between the two models is
: : the size of the "bottle" or lock chamber. It is
: : quite a bit larger on the model 1. To be really
: : safe you need to compare the two side by side.

: Hi Joe,
: I am confused because when you check on the Home page. I think when you click on the image, they have the Model 1 or Model 2 in wrong places. The one I have has a cylindical piece joint in between. Doesn't look like the one has only links.
: I hope it will help to determine what I have.
: Thanks for the info.

Maybe I can help. The pictures on the web site are correct, except when you click on them to enlarge them, you get the wrong picture (Model 1 gives you model 2, and model 2 gives you model 1). Actually I believe there are 3 models. First model is large bottle with 3 connecting links. 2nd model is regular size bottle with 3 connecting links, and 3rd model is regular size bottle with center swivel link. I have never seen the large bottle cuff with the swivel link.
I would value the earlier large bottle at more than the regular size bottle since they seem to be harder to find.
